A one-of-a-kind hand-thrown vessel, the “UFO” features a low, disc-like form with a sculptural, off-center opening that evokes a hovering, otherworldly presence. The surface is defined by striking, lightning-like patterns created through horsehair raku firing—each mark formed in an instant, completely unique and impossible to replicate.

The contrast between the warm, natural clay body and deep carbonized interior adds depth and drama, while the hand-burnished finish gives the piece a smooth, satin sheen without glaze.
