Ponytail Vase

The “Ponytail”  vase is a one-of-a-kind horsehair raku piece featuring a classic, rounded form with a softly flared rim and smoky, organic surface patterns created during the firing process. During firing, the vase developed a small crack—an inherent and celebrated part of the raku process—which was intentionally and artfully repaired using metallic leaf and horsehair, forming a distinctive “ponytail” accent that transforms imperfection into a focal point.

Finished with a coilwater blue interior glaze, offering a rich blue and copper-toned contrast to the raw exterior.
